Delete your NekoJar account
Last updated: 2 October 2026
NekoJar is published by Property Stack Pty Ltd (ABN 43 612 526 888). You may delete your account, and the information stored with it, at any time and without asking anybody.
Delete it yourself, in under a minute
You do not need to contact anybody, and nobody has to approve it.
- Open NekoJar and sign in.
- Open Settings, at the top right.
- Scroll to Your account and choose Delete my account.
- Confirm. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
NekoJar runs in a browser, so this works from a phone or a computer whether or not you installed it from Google Play.
If you have forgotten your password
You do not need us for that either. On the sign-in screen choose Forgotten your password?, enter your email address, and follow the link we send you to set a new one. Then sign in and delete the account with the four steps above.
If you still cannot get in
Only if the steps above have not worked: email hello@propertystack.com.au from the address you used for NekoJar, with "delete my NekoJar account" as the subject. We will delete it and reply to confirm, within 30 days and usually much sooner. If you write from a different address we will ask for something showing the account is yours, so that nobody else can have your account deleted.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in, including your email address and the stored hash of your password.
- Every trip that only you are on, and everything in it: the savings history, the budget and bookings, the day-by-day plan, reminders, wish lists and packing lists.
- The traveller details on those trips, including names and dates of birth.
- Documents uploaded to those trips, such as booking confirmations.
- Your notification registration, so no further alerts can reach your devices.
What is not deleted, and why
A trip that other people are also on. A shared trip belongs to everyone invited to it, so deleting your account does not destroy the savings history of the other people on it. You are removed from the trip and can no longer see it. If you were the person who created it, it passes to whoever joined first, so that it is never left with nobody able to manage it. If you want a shared trip deleted entirely, delete the trip itself in the application before deleting your account, or ask the other people on it.
Ordinary technical records. Our hosting providers keep routine logs, such as the fact that a request was made from an IP address, for a short period for security and reliability. These are discarded on the providers' usual cycle and are not used to identify you.
Records we are required to keep. Where a law requires us to retain something, we keep only what that law requires, for only as long as it requires.
How long it takes
Deleting it yourself is immediate and final. On the rare occasion somebody has to write to us instead, we action it once we have confirmed it is really them, and in any case within 30 days.
